Welcome to Green Cove Springs Junior High School, home of the Cougars!

I am truly excited to serve the students, families, and faculty as the Principal of Green Cove Springs Junior High School!

My philosophy on leading a school rests on three facets: First, every student deserves a champion - an adult who is willing to enable students to believe that they can discover endless possibilities, regardless of where they come from. Second, I believe that “all means all” which implies that each of our faculty and staff believes that we share responsibility for all of our students and care for those that walk our halls - not just the ones assigned to our individual classrooms. Finally, what our teachers and staff do daily, matters.

Our primary focus here at GCJ is a strong emphasis on teaching and learning in which we intend to provide the best educational setting that Clay County has to offer. GCJ has a long standing tradition of excellence whose results have been driven by academic rigor and relationships. We have an exceptionally strong faculty that is dedicated to meeting the needs of each of our students to enable them to continue on a trajectory towards success! Building and fostering relationships with families, as well as the community, is one of the areas in which we continuously demonstrate success with this year being no different! I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you and I’m confident that this next year will be our best year yet! Go Cougars!

Welcome to Green Cove Springs Junior High! I am Mrs. Green, your 7th grade Assistant Principal. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education from Florida State University, Go NOLES, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida.

My educational experience varies from teaching high school students in a health academy to teaching second grade at Orange Park Elementary. This diverse experience gives me an understanding of what education at each level looks like.

My family is passionate about helping others through local and international missions. We have served throughout Clay County, as well as, countries like Haiti and Canada.

My husband John, is the area director for FCA and leads a veteran’s ministry called Operation Barnabas. We have two children, Jackson and Savannah, who are both high school students in Clay County.
